Where's the mojo?
A year out on maternity leave left my personal wellbeing far from its best, I just didn't have time for myself anymore. Being a mum is all consuming, especially in that whirlwind first year. And wow, it's so easy to forget what makes you tick. How do you get your mojo back when your mind has turned to mush?
Getting in the zone
My answer was right there in the bathroom cabinet all along, organic skincare of course! The road back to 'me' started with a long bath with Himalayan Salt (for a magnesium boost), a mini DIY facial, Rose Clay and Rosehip Face Mask (to brighten the tired complexion), and a playlist of our spa music (because you've gotta soothe the soul man). These kind of baths would have been an a regular ritual in the old days, somewhere to meditate and organise the mind. That bath feels like a long time ago now and I haven't managed one like it since, but it was the starting point to respark balance and focus in my life. Actaully making myself stop, actively taking care of my skin, and syncing up that internal dialogue that was definitely out of alignment.
Reading that back it seems so obvious, this is the message that I have always promoted. This is fundamentally the core purpose of a holistic and wellness driven salon. We promote wellness through our spa treatments, through our products, our aftercare advice, and through our ethos. Everything we do at Secret Beautique is to create space for you and help you feel good. It's all about finding what feels good. So suddenly I have the clarity to drive our business once again, and it feels really great. I know that it's vital that we make space for ourselves so that we can go out into the world and be our absolute best. Small steps, that's all we need to start the change.
Small steps but big results
I'd like you to follow these small steps to see just how fast you are able to supercharge your wellbeing, and really boost your mojo. It works, I promise.
Let me know how you get on with your selfcare this week.
