Beloved Beautiquers, our price structure is changing
In our 4 years of trading we have only raised the pricing across our entire service menu just once.
We hit the VAT threshold very early on, in our first year. As a start up we couldn’t justify a 20% increase in prices so we chose to absorb those costs ourselves and have continued to do so for all of this time. Naturally this is not good business sense, nor sustainable practice for a small independent salon. We use only the highest quality products. Choosing organic, natural, and ethical professional products that we LOVE, to deliver the best possible results and experience. Over the years we have absorbed price rises in product and equipment, but again this is not sustainable.
So here we are, as of 1st October we will be raising some of our prices. There will be differing price points for levels of experience, namely within hair services but some beauty also.
Introducing - loyalty points
YES - The long awaited and finally to be implemented loyalty points! For each session/product you’ll earn points to spend back in salon! WoOoooooOoOo, sound good?!
And finally we just want to say THANK YOU for choosing us, THANK YOU for enjoying our services, and THANK YOU for supporting local.
In my personal practice as a massage therapist, I have always tried to get a good overview of the client I am treating, even if they are only on my couch for a short amount of time. Holistic therapy is about addressing the whole person, including their physical, mental, and emotional health. We take all of these internal and external influencing factors into consideration when using massage therapy as a holistic healing tool, which in my eye it always is. Always. Holistic Massage allows the body’s natural healing abilities to come forth and balance the entire body as a whole.
The term “holistic” derives from the ancient Greek word “holos,” which means “whole.”
Stress is so prevalant in our society that it's become the norm to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders, metaphrocially speaking. The evidence is clear to see when a client enters the treatment room, the evidence is clear in my own shoulders as I type right now. Less than a 100 years ago the word stress did not exist. There is no magic cure to reduce the stress we experience in today’s fast paced lifestyle. The only way to combat stress on a daily basis is through a holistic approach where we care for our bodies and minds, even if it's in the smallest of ways.
Spa should be our culture
Holistic massage is an ancient method of healing that stimulates the blood circulation and clears the lymphatic drainage system which assists in releasing toxins from the body. By recognizing that illness and stress affects not only one’s physical but also emotional, spiritual and mental well-being, Holistic Massage allows the body’s natural healing abilities to come forth and balance the entire body as a whole. This massage technique has been used for thousands of years in Egypt, China and India. In Eastern cultures massage is woven into the fabric of life, in our Western society we should definietly adopt this way of thinking. No longer a luxury but a necessity, as these few minutes spent caring for our bodies are a legitimate way to combat stress.
